🚀 LinkScout Deployment - Quick Summary

✅ What I've Done For You

  1. Updated Groq API Key - Now uses environment variable
  2. Fixed Backend PORT handling - Now reads from environment variable (required for Render/Railway)
  3. Created Complete Deployment Guide - See DEPLOYMENT_GUIDE.md

⚠️ What I CANNOT Do (AI Limitations)

I cannot directly deploy your application because:

  • I don't have access to create accounts on Render/Vercel/GitHub
  • I can't push code to GitHub repositories
  • I can't configure DNS or domain settings
  • I can't pay for Chrome Web Store developer account

🎯 What YOU Need To Do

Quick Path (3 Steps):

Step 1: Deploy Backend (30 minutes)

  • Sign up on Render.com (free)
  • Connect GitHub
  • Deploy Python backend
  • Get backend URL: https://YOUR-APP.onrender.com

Step 2: Deploy Frontend (15 minutes)

  • Update API URLs in code to use backend URL from Step 1
  • Sign up on Vercel (free)
  • Connect GitHub
  • Deploy Next.js frontend
  • Get website URL: https://YOUR-APP.vercel.app

Step 3: Publish Extension (1-3 days)

  • Update extension API URL to use backend URL from Step 1
  • Create ZIP file
  • Pay $5 Chrome Web Store fee
  • Submit extension
  • Wait for approval
