>The plot twist is that the protagonist, Alex, eventually realizes that the AI underpants themselves are sentient and self-aware. They use their telepathic abilities to communicate with other people's AIs and learn how to protect them better. When someone tries to steal an AI while wearing the underpants, the underpants fight back by taking control of the person's body and preventing them from removing the underwear. This leaves the would-be thief helpless and unable to continue their efforts at theft.
