+ What do I use to seal a roof hatch?
+
+
+A roof hatch can be sealed using the DEKASEAL 1512. We must properly clean our roof hatch as well as the roof of our vehicle. For cleaning, we recommend our Dekaclean ultra, or the dekavator. The cleaning products must be applied to a lint free towel, then given 5 to 10 minutes to air out after. Ensuring a grease free, dust, free and  residue free surface of the vehicle, as well as the hatch. The product can be inserted into the foreseen areas of the hatch, the hatch is then placed into the skylight and fixated according to the manufacturers instructions. Any excess of the 1512 can be smoothed using the Deka finisher, or maybe left to keep the water as far away from the hatch as possible.

+ How do I install a solar panel? 
+
+A solar panel can be installed using our Dekasyl MS5 prior. We must properly clean our solar panel as well as the roof of our vehicle. For cleaning, we recommend our Dekaclean ultra, or the dekavator. When installing constructions, which must withstand high forces. It may be useful to sand down the surfaces prior to application of the adhesive. Please keep in mind that the surfaces must be cleaned prior to sanding down as well as after. The cleaning products must be applied to a lint free towel, then given 5 to 10 minutes to air out after. Ensuring a grease free, dust, free and  residue free surface of the vehicle, as well as the solar panel we can proceed with the bonding process.

+The MS5 must be applied to the solar panel on the outside edges, leaving gaps throughout to ensure proper curing of the adhesive as it hardens with humidity in the air. On the inside we can apply in X-shaped portion of the adhesive.  After 24 hours, the gaps may be filled in using the MS5, the high viscosity of this product allows for a sufficient thickness of the adhesive to ensure an elastic connection, which allows us to connect different materials which expand differently with temperature changes. The MS5 can be smoothed using the Deka finisher. The vehicle should not be moved for the first 24 to 48 hours.

+ A classic is the DEKAseal 8936, which professionals can use as well as campers without previous sealing experience.  This sealant sticks even to plastic surfaces.  It is used in particular for connections that are to be loosened again later and for areas without a visible joint edge.  These are, for example, power sockets or refrigerator grilles, i.e. parts that are subject to high mechanical loads and therefore have to be replaced over time.  External sockets, service flaps, side windows or roof hoods can also be perfectly sealed with DEKAseal 8936.
