INFORMAL FREEFORM CONTEXT
- I don’t know if I have direct experience with economics or econometrics. The closest thing I can think of is working with causal machine learning and experimentation at Workers' Compensation Board. I don’t know if that is valid experience or if that’s what they are looking for. I might need help workshopping this.
- I don’t have direct experience with marketplace or incentive design. The only thing I can think of is with optimization and thinking of good objective functions to optimize towards, whether it’s a tangible resource like cost, or causally inferring something like the duration of a claim. I think this could be a weak point too. I really can’t even think of indirect experience with these areas.
- I’ve never worked on real-world problems applying economic analysis
- I have tons of mentoring and leadership experience. At Workers' Compensation Board I led the prescriptive analytics initiative where there were 6 team members and I coordinated the work, as well as drove it forward myself. At Health Authority as a Sr Business Analyst, I also led a team of analysts for the redevelopment projects. I’ve often been in instances where I mentored and led junior analysts.
