+ Spider-Man is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko, he first appeared in the anthology comic book Amazing Fantasy #15 (August 1962) in the Silver Age of Comic Books. He has since been featured in movies, television shows, video games, and plays. Spider-Man is the alias of Peter Parker, an orphan raised by his Aunt May and Uncle Ben in New York City after his parents Richard and Mary Parker died in a plane crash. Lee and Ditko had the character deal with the struggles of adolescence and financial issues and gave him many supporting characters, such as Flash Thompson, J. Jonah Jameson and Harry Osborn, romantic interests Gwen Stacy, Mary Jane Watson and the Black Cat, and foes such as Doctor Octopus, the Green Goblin and Venom. In his origin story, he gets spider-related abilities from a bite from a radioactive spider; these include clinging to surfaces, superhuman strength and agility, and detecting danger with his "spider-sense." He also builds wrist-mounted "web-shooter" devices that shoot artificial spider webs of his own design.

+ Some therefore of the Pharisees said, This man is not from God, because he doesn't keep the Sabbath. Others said, How can a man who is a sinner do such signs? There was division among them.

+ The Jews therefore did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and had received his sight, until they called the parents of him who had received his sight,

+ His parents answered them, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind;

+ He therefore answered, I don't know if he is a sinner. One thing I do know: that though I was blind, now I see.

+ He answered them, I told you already, and you didn't listen. Why do you want to hear it again? You don't also want to become his disciples, do you?

+ We know that God has spoken to Moses. But as for this man, we don't know where he comes from.

+ The man answered them, How amazing! You don't know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes.

+ If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.

+ Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews, but departed from there into the country near the wilderness, to a city called Ephraim. He stayed there with his disciples.

+ Now the Passover of the Jews was at hand. Many went up from the country to Jerusalem before the Passover, to purify themselves.

+ Now he said this, not because he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and having the money box, used to steal what was put into it.

+ But Jesus said, Leave her alone. She has kept this for the day of my burial.

+ For you always have the poor with you, but you don't always have me.

+ A large crowd therefore of the Jews learned that he was there, and they came, not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.

+ But the chief priests conspired to put Lazarus to death also,

+ On the next day a great multitude had come to the feast. When they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,

+ who exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

+ For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature.

+ Likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men doing what is inappropriate with men, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error.

+ Even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting;

+ being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, malice; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil habits, secret slanderers,

+ without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, unforgiving, unmerciful;

+ who, knowing the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also approve of those who practice them.

+ Therefore you are without excuse, O man, whoever you are who judge. For in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself. For you who judge practice the same things.

+ We know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things.

+ Do you think this, O man who judges those who practice such things, and do the same, that you will escape the judgment of God?

+ Or do you despise the riches of his goodness, forbearance, and patience, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?

+ But according to your hardness and unrepentant heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath, revelation, and of the righteous judgment of God;

+ who "will pay back to everyone according to their works:"

+ to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory, honor, and incorruptibility, eternal life;

+ but to those who are self-seeking, and don't obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, will be wrath and indignation,

+ oppression and anguish, on every soul of man who works evil, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

+ But glory, honor, and peace go to every man who works good, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

+ For there is no partiality with God.

+ For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without the law. As many as have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.

+ For it isn't the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law will be justified

+ (for when Gentiles who don't have the law do by nature the things of the law, these, not having the law, are a law to themselves,

+ in that they show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience testifying with them, and their thoughts among themselves accusing or else excusing them)

+ For what if some were without faith? Will their lack of faith nullify the faithfulness of God?

+ But if our unrighteousness commends the righteousness of God, what will we say? Is God unrighteous who inflicts wrath? I speak like men do.
