"And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was on the earth.", |

"And Noah, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’wives, went with him into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.", |

"Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creeps on the ground,", |

"there went two and two to Noah into the ark, male and female, as God commanded Noah.", |

"And in seven days, that the waters of the flood were on the earth.", |

"And he waited still another seven days; and again he sent out the dove from the ark.", |

"And the dove came to him the evening; and in its mouth it had a freshly plucked olive-leaf; so Noah knew that the waters had receded from the earth.", |

"And he waited still another seven days; and sent out the dove; and it did not return to him any more.", |

"And it came to pass in the six hundred and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth; and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked and the face of the ground was dry.", |

"And in the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the earth was dry.", |

"’Go out of the ark, you, and your wife, and your sons, and your sons’ wives with you.", |

"Bring out with you every living thing that is with you of all flesh, fowl, and cattle, and every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth; that they may swarm in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth.’", |

"And Noah went out, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him;", |

"every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, whatever moves upon the earth, after their families; went out of the ark.", |

"And Noah built an altar to the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt-offerings on the altar.", |
|
"And the LORD smelled the sweet odor; and the LORD said in His heart: ‘I will never again curse the ground for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; and I will never again kill every thing living, as I have done.", |
|
"While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.’" |

"But flesh with its soul, its blood, you shall not eat.", |

"But your blood of your soul I shall require; at the hand of every beast will I require it; and at the hand of man, even at the hand of every man’s brother, I will require the soul of man.", |

"Whoever Sheds man’s blood, by man will his blood be shed; for in the image of God He made man.", |

"And you, be fruitful, and multiply; swarm on the earth, and multiply in it.’", |

"’As for Me, I establish My covenant with you, and with your seed after you;", |

"and with every living creature that is with you, the fowl, the cattle, and every beast of the earth with you; of all that go out of the ark, even every beast of the earth.", |

"And I will establish My covenant with you; no more will all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood; and no more will there be a flood to destroy the earth.’", |

"And the LORD said: ‘If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will forgive all the place because of them.’", |

"And Abraham answered and said: ‘I have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord, who am but dust and ashes.", |

"If five of the fifty righteous are missing; will You destroy all the city for lack of the five?’ And He said: ‘I will not destroy it, if I find forty five.’", |

"And he spoke to Him yet again, and said: If forty would be found there.’ And He said: ‘I will not do it for the forty’s sake.’", |

"And he said: ‘Please Lord do not be angry, and I will speak. If there would be thirty that are found there.’ And He said: ‘I will not do it, if I find thirty there.’", |

"And he said: ‘Now I have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord. If there would be twenty found there.’ And He said: ‘I will not destroy it for the twenty’s sake.’", |

"And the captain of the guard charged Joseph to be with them, and he served them; and they continued a season in the prison.", |

"And they dreamed a dream both of them, each man his dream, in one night, each man puzzled over the interpretation of his dream, the butler and the baker of the king of Egypt, who were bound in the prison.", |

"And Joseph came to them in the morning, and saw them, and, they were sad.", |

"And he asked Pharaoh’s officers that were with him in the ward of his master’s house, saying: ‘Why do you look so sad today?’", |

"And Joseph said to him: ‘This is the interpretation of it: the three branches are three days;", |

"In three days Pharaoh will lift up your head, and restore you to your office; and you will give Pharaoh’s cup into his hand, as it was when you were his butler.", |

"But remember me when it is well with you, and please show kindness to me, and make mention of me to Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house.", |

"For I was stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews; and here I have done nothing that they should put me into the dungeon.’", |

"When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said to Joseph: ‘I also had a dream, and, I saw three baskets of white bread were on my head;", |

"and in the top basket there were of all kinds of baked food for Pharaoh; and the birds ate them out of the basket on my head.’", |

"And Joseph answered and said: ‘This is the interpretation of it: the three baskets are three days;", |
|
"In three days Pharaoh will lift your head off of you, and will hang you on a tree; and the birds will eat your flesh off you.’", |

"And it happened the third day, which was Pharaoh’s birthday, that he made a feast for all his servants; and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and the head of the chief baker among his servants.", |

"And he restored the chief butler to his butlership; and he gave the cup into Pharaoh’s hand.", |

"But he hanged the chief baker, as Joseph had interpreted to them.", |

"Although, the chief butler did not remember Joseph, but forgot him." |

"And there will come after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty will be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine will consume the land;", |

"and the plenty will not be known in the land because of the famine which follows; because it will be very harsh.", |

"And the reason the dream recurred to Pharaoh twice, is because it is established by God, and God will make it happen quickly.", |

"Now let Pharaoh find a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt.", |

"Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint overseers over the land, and take one fifth of the [produce of the] land of Egypt in the seven years of plenty.", |

"And let them gather all the food of the coming good years, and put the grain under the hand of Pharaoh for food in the cities, and let them keep it.", |

"And the food will be a reserve for the land against the seven years of famine, which will be in the land of Egypt; so that the land will not perish through the famine.’", |
