unable to load model

When I try to load this, it consistently fails on well over a hundred parameters. I'm following the guide found here: https://stable-diffusion-art.com/sdxl-model/ and using Automatic1111.
The error I'm getting on every line is the same:
an exception occurred : ('Cannot copy out of meta tensor; no data!',)
I have both the base and refiner models downloaded, but it seems to default to the refiner. Am I missing a file or something?
