Apply for a GPU community grant: Academic project

Dear Hugging Face Team,

I would like to request a Community GPU Grant for my Space, GOTabPFN.

GOTabPFN is an academic open-source demo for high-dimensional tabular learning, based on our ICML 2026 paper, “GOTabPFN: From Feature Ordering to Compact Tokenization for Tabular Foundation Models on High-Dimensional Data.”

The Space allows users to upload a CSV dataset, automatically detect the target column and task type, run dataset diagnostics, perform GO-LR feature ordering, apply NSC compression, and run the GOTabPFN prediction pipeline for binary classification, multiclass classification, or regression. The demo also includes optional Optuna hyperparameter tuning.

GPU support would significantly improve the usability of this Space. GOTabPFN is designed for high-dimensional tabular datasets, where graph-guided feature ordering, compression, TabPFN inference, and optional tuning can be slow on CPU-only hosting. A GPU grant would make the demo more practical for researchers, students, and the open-source tabular ML community who want to test the method without setting up a local GPU environment.
This Space is intended for open academic research, reproducibility, and community access to tabular deep learning methods.

Thank you for considering this request.

Hi @zadid6pretam , we've assigned ZeroGPU to this Space. Please check the compatibility and usage sections of the ZeroGPU documentation to make sure your Space runs correctly on ZeroGPU. If you're using a coding agent like Claude Code, you can also try Hugging Face's official huggingface-zerogpu skill, which guides the agent through ZeroGPU's constraints and migration steps.

If you're able to, please consider upgrading to Pro ($9/month) for a higher ZeroGPU quota plus features like Dev Mode and Private Storage.

Hi @hysts ,

Thank you very much for assigning ZeroGPU to this Space. I really appreciate the support.

I will review the ZeroGPU compatibility and usage documentation and test the GOTabPFN demo under the ZeroGPU constraints. If I run into any compatibility issues, I will update the Space accordingly and follow up here if needed.

Hello Hugging Face team,

My Space is currently stuck in a paused state, and I cannot restart it or switch it back to ZeroGPU. When I try to update the settings, the UI shows:

“Only Hugging Face team members can update the sleep time of a Space with a community grant.”

Space: https://huggingface.co/spaces/zadid6pretam/GOTabPFN

Request ID from the 503 restart error:
Root=1-6a2445e9-4c0ea38974d38df3628a951a

The build appears to complete successfully, and the ZeroGPU community grant still seems active, but the Space remains paused and restart fails with a 503 error.

Could you please reset or unpause the Space if it is stuck due to a Space-side issue? If this behavior is instead due to a community-grant ZeroGPU sleep-time or usage limit, could you please confirm that?

Thank you.

Hi @zadid6pretam , thanks for reporting this. The pause here isn't related to the GPU grant or any grant usage limit. It came from an automated review on our side, and that's what's currently blocking the restart. I'm checking on it internally and will get back to you once it's sorted out.

Hi @hysts , Thanks for getting back to me. I was literally confused, I could not even turn it back to CPU. Something was blocking each time I tried to restart this space. Please let me know when it gets resolved.

Hi @hysts , did you find out anything? Do I need do anything? Please let me know.

Thanks

@zadid6pretam The Space needs to be unflagged, but I don't have the permissions to do that myself. I've reached out to our infra team internally, but I haven't heard back yet. I'll update you once I do.

@hysts Thank you for the update. I appreciate you checking with the infra team. I will wait for the unflagging process. Please let me know if there is anything I should modify in the Space files, README, app behavior, or metadata to avoid this issue in the future. Also if needed I can share the arXiv link of our ICML 2026 paper: https://arxiv.org/pdf/2606.05441

Hi @zadid6pretam , this should be resolved now. The Space has been unflagged, I reassigned ZeroGPU to it, and restarted it.
From what I can see, this was not caused by anything you need to change in the Space files. It looks like it was most likely a false positive from an automated review on our side.
Please try accessing the Space again and let me know if you still run into any issues.

Hi @hysts , thank you so much for checking this internally and resolving it. I really appreciate your help with unflagging the Space, reassigning ZeroGPU, and restarting it.

I will test the Space again now and monitor it. It is also very helpful to know that this was most likely a false positive from the automated review and that nothing needs to be changed in the Space files.

Thanks again for your support.
