Introduction to Question Types

Question Types

Welcome to this section on question types in the IELTS reading test.

As you have already learnt, there are 14 different questions types in the IELTS reading test. Your test will not contain all these question types, but it is a good idea to be familiar with them as you cannot predict which ones will be in your test.

.

In this section of the course, you will:

  • learn more specific information about each question type, including their format,
  • learn steps to help you better answer the different question types, and
  • have multiple opportunities to apply your new knowledge.

It is suggested that you complete the lessons on question types in the order presented. However, if you feel that you are already proficient in a particular type of question, you can choose the lessons that most interest you.
