Discussion

Consider the different criteria in the Public Band Descriptors.

What are your strengths and weaknesses across these criteria?

Respond in the box below. Feel free to reply to other learners.

Responses

  1. I guess that my biggest weakness is vocabulary. This is because my first tongue is Japanese and I use English only in English classes at school. Moreover, it is difficult to spell precisely.

  2. In my opinion I’m don’t have an extended vocabulary to express the things I wish to. I have also issues with the way I combine sentences to make clear the idea of what I want to say. On the other hand I’m not sure what I’m good at because I’m aware I have problems even with my punctuation.

  3. I have to say after reading the attachments completely I feel a little bit frustrated about it.
Having said that, My strengths are to be consequence with my challenges and keep going to my goals being creative and doing my best.
So my Weaknesses are definitely Grammatical Range and Accuracy, coherence and cohesion on the top and then Lexical resource and spelling.
I reckon I will need a lot of effort to get nearly a five in IELTS Academic Test.
I guess It will be similar that happened with my driver license. I got it after a lot of practice and repeating the test several times. hahaha

  4. What are your strengths and weaknesses across these criteria?.
Reviewing my skills and knowledge, I consider:

    Strengths:
    – good fluency with verbs and times
    Weaknesses:
    – I need to improve my techinal words

  5. My weekes as well as not grammar only but sometimes I forget what I writing on ..the basic problem I have to face how to generate the idea how to stretch the given topic…. something I out of the topic by considering so much what exactly want to wrote…
