Introduction to Visuals
Introduction to Visuals
In Task 1, you may be asked to describe a graph, table, map or process diagram or two visuals. In this video, Alice will outline the different types of visuals in Task 1. This will help you read the visual effectively and write a strong response.
Discussion
How do you feel about the different types of visuals in Task 1?
What vocabulary and grammar do you think you need to use to describe them?
Which type of visual do you think is the most challenging?
Respond in the box below. Feel free to reply to other learners.
I think, only with consistent practice i will be able to pull off task 1. A wide range of vocabulary and grammar is required to describe task 1. For me a combination of two visuals might be challenging
If we focus carefully we should be able to comprehend those visuals and answer accurately. Vocabulary and grammar vary according to the given visual. When there is a combination of two visuals, it may be challenging.
Outstanding lessons and feedback for IELTS.Thanks all of your help
Most challenging visuals to me are that of Map and process. More so, line graph can be quite chaotic to harmonize
I feel Visual task 1 required more vocabulary for description which could include numbers and currency vocabs also the right words that would best describe the trends of the graph. The challenging type of visual that will challenge me the most is the maps part as i may have difficulties trying to locate a place and explain it in a simple manner. Overall I’m keen to learn more about it and will do anything it takes for progression.
Lovely answer, extremely positive. Thumb up for that encouragement! Very similar to my lines to say to myself, too.)
