Deep learning, a subset of machine learning, utilizes these neural networks but with many layers. But as with any tech domain, challenges are intertwined with opportunities. One buzzword that gets thrown around a lot is "overfitting." Ever asked Siri about the weather or used Google Translate? Then you've interacted with NLP. Lastly, ethics in AI is a vital conversation. Terms like "bias in algorithms" or "transparent AI" reflect the ongoing dialogue about ensuring AI serves humanity without perpetuating harmful stereotypes or behaviors. After all, AI models learn from data, and if that data carries biases, the resulting AI could too. In the ever-evolving landscape of AI, one thing remains constant: the jargon might sound technical, but with a little patience and understanding, it's all relatable to our daily lives. Reinforcement Learning (RL) is another subfield of AI that's gaining momentum, especially in the world of gaming and robotics. Think of it as training a dog: the dog does something good, it gets a treat; it does something bad, it gets no treat. Similarly, in RL, algorithms learn by interacting with an environment and receiving rewards or penalties based on their actions. The ultimate goal? To find the best strategy that will result in the maximum cumulative reward over time. Applications of RL are numerous. AlphaGo, developed by DeepMind, a subsidiary of Alphabet, utilized RL to beat the world champion in the ancient Chinese board game, Go. The field of computer vision is an extension of this data-driven approach of AI.
